The Lowell Auction Goes Live and Virtual for 2021

It’s fair to say that 2020 has been one of the most challenging years the Lowell community has ever faced. That’s why our upcoming Lowell School Annual Auction for Economic Diversity is the most important one we’ve ever had.

Funds raised through the parent-led auction are exclusively directed to the financial assistance fund which has rarely been more needed than it is now. Due to the pandemic, families in our community are facing economic insecurity, increasing the need for financial aid. Last year's auction raised more than $190,000 to support an inclusive and diverse community at our school.

If you attended our lively virtual event last spring, you know how much fun it can be to join the auction from home. Just like Lowell’s teachers learned from their springtime beta test for virtual school, the auction committee learned too; which means 2021 will bring a new format for the auction. We’ve improved our technology, and in February, we’ll hold an even more exciting, interactive auction with live entertainment and live bidding! Save the date for February 6th to show your Love for Lowell.

A team of parent volunteers is reaching out to sponsors and donors; if you would like to contribute or volunteer for this year’s auction, please reach out to auction co-chairs Rebecca Orris or Katherine Shea at LowellAuction@lowellschool.org.
