Support Lowell

As our lives have been transformed in so many ways, one thing remains the same: Lowell’s commitment to providing an exceptional education that gives our students the skills, knowledge, and confidence to positively impact the world.
Lowell teachers were hard at work over the summer learning new and better ways to engage students in off-campus learning. Technology upgrades and new equipment were purchased to maximize the accessibility to and effectiveness of remote lessons. Vital measures have been put in place to safeguard the health of students, staff, and faculty. In addition to these ongoing expenses, many families in our community are facing deep economic insecurity as a result of COVID-19 increasing the need for financial aid—which went from 16 to 19% of our operating budget. Lifelong learning, educational excellence, community health and safety, and economic diversity are core Lowell values. By supporting the Annual Fund, you will help Lowell thrive in these uncertain times. Thank you.

Helping Children Thrive

Since 1965, when Lowell opened its doors in a church basement as a nursery school for 25 children, parents have been an invaluable part of our community by helping out in classrooms, organizing social events, and leading fundraising efforts.

Today, Lowell has become a leader among progressive schools educating children ages 2 ½ through 8th grade in the Washington, DC area. Our growth could only have happened with the generous support of current and past parents and grandparents, as well as faculty, staff, friends, and alumni.
You can help us continue to provide an intellectually rigorous, diverse, and joyful environment for learning through a variety of giving opportunities. Whether it’s helping to sustain our financial aid program, funding campus improvements, or growing our endowment and annual funds, your gift can help ensure that Lowell continues to be a center of educational excellence for years to come.
