Lowell School seeks a visionary director of brand communication and marketing to lead the school into its next stage of excellence, beginning July 2020. Reporting to the head of school, the director of brand communication and marketing will plan, direct, and implement overall strategies for all communications and marketing efforts on behalf of Lowell School. The primary goals of this individual will be reinforcing the mission of the school, articulating clear and compelling messages to internal and external constituencies, raising the school’s visibility, and advancing its brand. The director will oversee and/or actively participate in the creation, design, budget, and production of all-school publications (print, digital, and video) and events. Additionally, the director will coordinate advertising, publicity, and public relations and serve as the school’s spokesperson when so designated by the head of school. The director of brand communication and marketing will work closely with the admissions and development offices to achieve advancement goals and also provide crisis communications advice and support to the head of school. Finally, the director of brand communication and marketing will oversee and collaborate with one staff member on school-wide communications.
Lowell School is seeking to engage a joyful, compassionate, and visionary director of Primary School to inspire the students, faculty, and staff of the division, beginning July 2020. Reporting to the head of school, the director of Primary School will assume the responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the K–5 division. This person will serve as the educational leader for the Primary School, embracing, articulating, and implementing the school’s mission and values while promoting the social, emotional, and academic growth of students, partnering with parents, and supporting the professional growth of faculty and staff.
The director of Primary School should embody a deep understanding of child development and a commitment to constructivist and experiential education, and maintain a personal investment in diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice in education. This person should also possess a keen interest in supporting a healthy and thriving culture that effectively integrates the perspectives of community members.
Lowell seeks a full time Middle School science teacher to teach geoscience, life science, and physical science and to support the progressive integration of STEAM and Outdoor Science Education content and skills. The Middle School science teacher collaborates with other science teachers to plan and implement a hands-on curriculum for 5th and 6th grade classes. In addition, the Middle School science teacher is part of the grade-level STEAM and Outdoor Science Education teams. Each team seeks out opportunities for collaboration and works with grade level teachers of other disciplines on integrated projects that combine aspects of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The Middle School science teacher also serves as an advisor for a group of Middle School students and collaborates with the Primary School science teacher in teaching Outdoor Science Education.
The enrollment associate furthers the mission of Lowell School by serving as the school’s representative in all aspects of the admissions process in support of the school’s efforts to attract and enroll a diverse and dynamic preschool-8th grade student population. The enrollment associate is the primary point of contact and source of information for prospective parents. The enrollment associate manages the admissions and enrollment process from start to finish, including scheduling tours and interviews, processing admissions files, conducting interviews, coordinating events, assessing applicants, and onboarding families.
Lowell’s academic technologist will implement the technology integration mission and curriculum for faculty and students in preschool-8th grade. In coordination with the director of academic technology, the academic technologist will ensure the alignment of the student technology experience across divisions and perform other duties as assigned. This is a 10-month, full-time position reporting to the director of academic technology in collaboration with the Middle School and Primary School directors.
Lowell is seeking a responsible, experienced, energetic, and creative after care teacher for the after-school program. Students are ages 3 through 11, and the program runs from 3:00–6:00 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and from 1:45–6:00 pm on Wednesdays.
