Inspiring Identity: Flag Project

Fourth graders found inspiration from across the globe for a project to redesign Lowell's flag. After learning about the flag referendum in New Zealand and studying the principles of good flag design, students critiqued Lowell's flag and began the redesign process. Once they finished their designs, they wrote persuasive essays arguing why their designs should replace the school's current flag.
