Chrissie Serafin, Pre-Primary & Primary School Counselor

"I joined Lowell because I was seeking a school where the mission wasn't just stated, it was lived. This place is truly special, built on authenticity, belonging, and intentional community, where both kids and adults are shown grace and respect. I feel fortunate to be part of the Lowell community every single day.

Especially now, with division rising everywhere, I am proud that Lowell stands firmly committed to the strength of our diversity and our deep dedication to respecting all.

Since 1965, Lowell has been a direct counterpoint to divisive external policies, growing into eight acres of Safe Space. For me, giving to the Annual Fund isn't just a staff donation; it's a clear message that I deeply believe in our mission and our work. It is my vote for the future I envision."

Drew Spriggs, Pre-Primary School Teacher

"I give to the annual fund every year, contributing to a place where children thrive, because being a part of the Lowell School community is a blessing. The amount of joy that I get from my interactions with children, faculty, and parents is priceless. Lowell is a very special place, and when I think about "Rooted and Rising," I am reminded that young children were the foundation of this school's beginning.

Pre-primary children are incredibly creative, curious, and social, and I feel fortunate to be supported in my role of teaching and guiding them into the capable learners they are and will become. It is a rare opportunity to watch the youngest rise, grow, and thrive in an environment where many become the oldest and graduate 8th grade before moving on to high school. I know many people who do not speak positively about their work environment and interactions with their colleagues, but I have quite the opposite experience.

In this current climate, I appreciate being in a place where it is safe to be yourself, your voice is heard, and people care about each other ... caring especially for children and allowing them to think critically, engage purposefully, and live authentically!"
