Learning Differences and Neurodiversity (LDN) Parent Affinity Group

The Learning Differences & Neurodiversity (LDN) Parent Affinity Group is a forum for Lowell parents and faculty to engage in discussion, provide support and strategies for success, and highlight resources around learning differences, neurodiversity, strength-based and social-emotional learning. In this context, we explore how learning differences including, but not limited to, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, sensory processing, processing speed, and the autism spectrum impact the way that children learn, work and play, with the goal to celebrate strengths and value the differences of every child. We often discuss parenting strategies, and all parents are welcome to join us.

    High School Admissions Meeting

    Meeting Agenda
    • Any updates regarding SSATs and other admissions-related information
    • What we are doing for your students during this time of year
    • What your students are doing in school this fall to prepare for the admissions process
    • The fall admissions timeline and your high school admissions to-do list

We are excited about the adventure ahead for your families as the high school admissions season begins, even as we recognize the challenges of researching and "visiting" schools during the COVID-19 era. Our team has been in touch with admissions officers around the area since the summer and kept abreast of the changes in local independent schools' admissions practices as they adjust to meet the realities of remote learning, testing changes, and grading for this year's local 8th-grade class. Our goal is to make this process as seamless and enjoyable as possible while acknowledging the additional stress the circumstances present.

We have compiled a list of SSAT requirements by high school and other admissions resources that might help you, and we update these as more information becomes available.
