Rising 1st – 2nd Grade

Campers must be entering 1st or 2nd grade for the 2026–2027 school year.

Best Buddies enjoy making friends and welcome opportunities to try new things. Campers are assigned a Best Buddies group and will spend the morning and lunch with a team of core counselors. Each day will be filled with exciting arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, activities, and more! Buddies will join other groups in 1st and 2nd grades for an array of afternoon activity choices, some offered by the core counselors and some by specialized instructors.

  • 9 am: Arrival
  • 9:15 am: "In the Zone"
  • 9:30 am: Group Time
  • 9:45 am: Morning Activity 1
  • 10:30 am: Morning Activity 2
  • 11:15 am: Morning Activity 3
  • 12 pm: Lunch
  • 12:30 pm: Recess
  • 1 pm: Afternoon Choice
  • 2:30 pm: Closing Meeting
  • 3 pm: Dismissal

  • Summer School

    This high-energy, full-day camp helps 1st- and 2nd-grade students explore "superpowers" in reading and math through active, imaginative learning. Mornings: Literacy Adventures (play, storytelling) and Math Mastery (hands-on games). Fun breaks & social time help kids make friends. Afternoons are all student choice—creative projects or energetic games—building interests and resilience in a supportive environment.

  • Hola Español

    Campers will spend their mornings engaging in various activities that focus on speaking, listening to, and understanding Spanish. They will cook, perform music, dance, tell stories, and participate in games, arts, and crafts projects. This is a heterogeneous grouping of skill levels. In the afternoon, they will have the option to choose from several non-academic activities.

Rising 1st – 2nd Grade Arrival and Dismissal

Drop-off

Drop-off starts at 8:50 am. Adults dropping off should remain in their vehicles. Counselors will open doors and assist campers in exiting. Campers must exit the vehicle from the curb side; exiting on the driver’s side is prohibited. If you have siblings attending camp, the older sibling should be dropped off with the younger sibling.

Pick-up

Pick-up starts at 3 pm. Adults picking up should remain in their vehicles. Counselors will assist campers in getting into the vehicle. Campers must load into the vehicle from the curb side; loading on the driver’s side is prohibited. If you have siblings attending camp, the older sibling will always be with the younger sibling during carpool.
