Coding and Filmmaking

Rising 3rd-6th Grades

*Session 1 and 2
Have you ever imagined yourself as a great storyteller? Well, how about a digital storyteller? We’ve combined the critical thinking aspects of coding and the artistic vision of film production to create this original program. Campers will get an introduction to coding, while also learning the basics of object-oriented programming. Campers will learn to think critically about their work with the infinite possibilities of the software. They will then flip the script and peek into film production through pre-production planning, camera work, and editing an original project. Through participation in the writing, production, and editing of a short film project, campers will establish their own artistic voice, collaborate with peers, share ideas, and hone teamwork skills.
