Middle School

Resources + Support

We strive to meet the needs of our students in an effective and welcoming manner. Because we believe that social, emotional, and academic growth are intertwined, teachers pay close attention to each student’s well-being in all of these areas.
Middle School students are encouraged to seek out their teachers when they need help. During weekly flex-times, students can do homework, complete projects, or make up work. Most Middle School teachers are available at this time, and students are able to schedule meetings with them to get extra help.
Through curriculum design and a variety of instructional techniques, teachers address multiple intelligences and different learning styles and needs within the classroom environment. The student support team works with teachers to ensure that students get any additional assistance they might need along the way. The goal is to help students reach their full academic and social-emotional potential.

We work in concert with families to facilitate added support and classroom accommodations when needed. Outside evaluation and one-on-one tutoring beyond the classroom are not included in the tuition, but the Director of Student Support Services and the support team can help families obtain these services and provide assistance with referrals and scheduling. In the infrequent event that a child's needs are beyond the scope of what we offer–even with outside support–we provide guidance in finding an educational environment that will better respond to the child's strengths and needs.
DeltaU coaches work with the student support services team to implement the guidance program for Middle School students.
