After Care provides a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for younger students to play and hone social skills under the guidance of caring adults. Park After Dark, the Middle School After Care program, is a homework club. Care runs from 3:15–6:00 pm. Children may attend daily or drop in.
These enrichment courses offer students the opportunity to develop their passions and explore new interests. From beading and yoga to Spanish club and chess, there’s always something exciting to choose from. Offerings rotate five times a year.
A range of group swim lessons, as well as semi-private and private lessons, are available for children of all ages after school and on the weekends. We also have a community swim team, The Lionfish. The Aquatics Program is open to both Lowell families and the broader community.
A wide range of options for music instruction are offered after school, including group and individual instrumental and voice lessons, as well as three electric pop bands, an acoustic pop band, a jazz band, and a recorder consort.
Athletics are offered to students beginning in Kindergarten. Students in K-3rd grade can join the swim team in the winter and the junior track team in the spring. Students in 4th grade and up can choose from cross-country and soccer in the fall; swimming and basketball in the winter; ultimate frisbee, senior track, and girls lacrosse in the spring.
