Fourth Grade MLK Jr. Oration

Fourth graders will dramatically present a speech by activist Malala Yousafzai to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights leaders on Friday, February 29 at 2:30 p.m. in the Parkside Black Box Theater.

Malala's speech, We Go Forward, focuses on educating girls and unifying aspects of the hope for peace and love of humankind across all religions. It also highlights pivotal civil rights leaders and names the challenges that society faces in achieving justice. This project integrates the 4th grade grade-level theme of perspectives and Teaching Tolerance's social justice standards.

Fourth grade families are cordially invited to attend. Third graders are also invited to cheer on their peers!
