Book Character Day in Primary School

One of the most anticipated days of the year, Book Character Day encourages students to imagine themselves as their favorite book character and share their love of reading. Students from every grade got a chance to stand up to introduce their character during Gathering on Wednesday. The Hungry Caterpillar, Cat in the Hat, and the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees were accompanied by various princesses, scientists, and superheroes. Each character was unique to the child's interests, including a 2nd grader who authored a book and dressed as his dad for his character.

Book Character Day coincides with the annual Book Fair which continues tomorrow from 8:30 am–6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am–12:00 pm. Book Fair visitors are welcome to purchase books to donate to the school’s libraries, as well as to classrooms. Don't forget to pick-up the summer reading selections!

Summer learning information pages are now live and list the math, Spanish, and reading requirements for rising 4th-8th graders.
