Hour of Code

Lowell’s Primary School students participated in the Hour of Code on Wednesday as part of the Computer Science Education Week. The goal of this international event is to expose students of all ages to the power and excitement of computer programming. Many of our Primary School students already have significant coding experience through their work on Code.org. During the Hour of Code, participate in a variety of game-based activities incorporating applications such as Kodable, Code-a-Pillar, Scratch Jr., and others. These programs utilize a block-based programming interface to help students conceptualize the foundations of programming.
