The renovation of Parkside Building allowed Lowell to expand its rich program for all children and provide Middle School students with an inspiring learning environment they can call home on our campus.
The project incorporated LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) features and made the building ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible.
The Building on Success capital campaign raised $3 million towards the cost of the major renovation and expansion of Parkside and the new Pre-Primary playground. Construction began in June 2013, and the new Parkside Building and Pre-Primary playground opened for students in September 2014.
New spaces include:
- a spacious library and technology center
- a fully-equipped science lab
- an engineering fabrication lab
