Swim Team

Lowell Lionfish Community Swim Team

We are proud to offer a multi-tiered program for swimmers who are interested in improving their skills and competing. Our Lionfish Swim Team is open to Lowell students, as well as the public, with multiple age and skill divisions available.

Team practices focus on competitive techniques for four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) as set forth by USA Swimming within age group classifications. Swimmers learn up-to-date techniques for each stroke, including diving and turning.

Swimmers will have opportunities to compete in local swim meets; however, participation in these meets is not required. To join the Lionfish Swim Team, it is recommended that swimmers complete the Catfish swim class OR be evaluated by a Lionfish Coach/Lowell Instructor or have approx. 1 year experience from any USA Swim Team.
