We strive to meet the needs of our students in an effective and welcoming manner. Because we believe that social, emotional, and academic growth are intertwined, teachers pay close attention to each student’s well-being in all of these areas.
Student Support Services
Middle School students are encouraged to seek out their teachers when they need help. During weekly flex-times, students can do homework, complete projects, or make up work. Most Middle School teachers are available at this time, and students are able to schedule meetings with them to get extra help.
Through curriculum design and a variety of instructional techniques, teachers address multiple intelligences and different learning styles within the classroom environment. In addition, the student support team works to ensure that students get additional help they might need along the way. The goal is to help students reach their full potential.
The director of learning services, the learning specialist, the Middle School counselor, and the division director work in concert with families to facilitate added support and classroom accommodations when needed. Outside evaluation and one-on-one tutoring beyond the classroom are not included in the tuition, but the director of learning services and the student support team can help families obtain these services and provide assistance through referrals and scheduling.
