6th, 7th, and 8th Grade

Participants are challenged to find points of interest and little-known locations in and around DC. Armed with a set of clues, campers research, map public transportation routes, and set out with counselors to find the history and culture that make DC unique. Campers love the travel and independence that come with this perennial favorite course.

Campers with a passion for serving the community will spend the week brainstorming ways to use their voices and show support for humanity beyond drives and donations. SSL hours will be granted if accepted by the participant's school.

What does it take to run a business? Campers will gain hands-on experience, from concept to pitch, in this week-long program designed to whet their entrepreneurial appetite.

Dive into the world of digital media. Campers will be introduced to the skills of writing, interviewing, and editing to produce a high-quality, professional podcast. Find your voice, practice confident communication, and build a creative portfolio.

This camp is designed to introduce young explorers to the wonders of public transportation and the importance of financial literacy. Through hands-on activities, field trips, and engaging lessons, campers will learn to navigate the city using buses, trains, and subways while understanding the costs of travel and other urban experiences. 

Compete in culinary challenges, learning basic baking techniques, flavor pairing, and kitchen standards. This program fosters creativity, disciplined focus, and the resilience needed to bounce back from a failed soufflé.
