  • STEP 3: Request a recommendation from your child's teacher

Lowell School uses Ravenna—a comprehensive online admission system. Your child’s teacher will be able to submit the recommendation through this system. Please log into to request a recommendation.

For students not yet enrolled in a school or childcare program, a recommendation may be provided by a nanny, family friend, or activity instructor who knows your child well. Recommendations are kept confidential.
  • STEP 4: Testing and Supplemental Information

We will not be accepting admissions testing as part of our admissions process. It is important that we ensure an equitable process for all applicants, so in lieu of admission tests, applicants are encouraged to submit additional materials and documentation to help us better understand your child’s academic, social, and emotional learning. Please contact the Admission Office for details.
  • Step 5: Schedule your child's visit

Getting to know your child is an important part of our process. At this time, Lowell has not yet determined whether on campus or virtual shadow or play dates will be held for the 2020-21 application cycle. More details will be available in the coming weeks.
  • STEP 6: Schedule your parent interview

The parent interview is an opportunity for you to ask questions about Lowell, to further inform us about your child, and for us to get to know you. Meetings can be scheduled as soon as we receive your child's application. Please register for an interview at
