Endowment, Named Funds, and Restricted Gifts

The An-Bryce Fund was established to help families who lack financial resources but desire for their children to benefit from the academic, physical, social, and spiritual opportunities offered by Lowell School.

Named for the work that Debbie held closest to her heart, the Debbie Gibbs Fund for Advancing Teaching and Learning is an unrestricted endowment fund that will enable future leaders of Lowell to continue to advance Lowell’s mission.

The DeVaughn Financial Aid Endowment was established in 1993 after the tragic death of a Pre-Primary student. Earlier gifts made to the school in memory of former students Jed Nathanson and Kristoph Sambroski are also part of this fund.

The Financial Assistance Fund for Students of Color was established in 2017 by Elizabeth Mumford and Joe Gitchell to provide supplemental financial assistance to students of color.

The Gail Shandler Financial Aid Endowment honors Gail Shandler's 23 years as Director of Lowell.

The unrestricted General Endowment offers Lowell the greatest flexibility to meet the school's present and future needs.

The Gerald and Deana Stempler Fund was created in honor of their grandchildren, Jacob and Benjamin Catt, and provides funds for general support.

The John Wiebenson Campership Fund honors the life of John Wiebenson by providing financial assistance for children referred to Lowell's Summer Program by social service organizations.

The Phillips-Murray Foundation Fund was established as part of the 30th Anniversary Campaign to provide financial assistance for minority students.

The Schear-Kaempfer Fund was established during the 2003–2004 academic year as part of the Campaign for Lowell: Strengthening Minds, Ensuring Equity, Honoring Individuality.

The Abigail Wiebenson Fund for Teacher Salaries honors Abigail's 19 years as Director of Lowell and supports the school's most valuable assets.

The Financial Assistance Fund helps Lowell meet its commitment to enable students to attend Lowell regardless of their economic circumstances.

The Founding Teachers' Fund for Faculty Salaries honors Dottie Podgorny and Theresa Anderson.

The Theresa Anderson Chair of Mathematics honors a living legend and helps ensure that Lowell can continue to offer a math program worthy of Theresa's legacy of innovation.

The Theresa Anderson Faculty Enrichment Fund is for faculty personal growth and professional advancement opportunities.
