    MS Parent Workshop: Navigating Class Pages & Strategies for Executive Management

    Kavan Yee, Director of Middle School, and Annie Neary, Middle School Learning Specialist, will host a conversation with Ginny Conroy, founder and director of Social Grace (a consulting practice that provides families strategies for cultivating self-esteem and executive management). Ginny will provide executive function coaching and answer parent questions about living through this unique time.

    K-5th Grade Virtual Gathering-Skype A Scientist

    This week our Gathering time is shifting to Thursday afternoon due to a special guest visitor. Max Firke has organized time for us to hear from a special guest scientist through the organization Skype a Scientist. Our students will get to “meet” Kandrea Wade, a data scientist studying a range of topics including issues of race in Artificial Intelligence. Kandrea will join us with a short presentation, followed by a session answering your questions.

    Virtual High School Admissions Meeting

    At this plenary session, Donna and I will introduce our comprehensive approach and all the wonderful people who will be involved to support both you and your student in the process of transitioning to high school. A timeline of the process will be covered and shared. Your first writing assignment, the Parent Essay will be explained, as well as our request that you schedule a meeting with Donna in May or June. If you cannot attend this evening event, I will be sending a PDF of the presentation to all rising 8th grade families shortly after.

    Discover Qigong (Chi Gong) Ancient Techniques to Cultivate Relaxation, Vitality & Immunity Instructor & 8th Grade Lowell Parent: Robin Gellman, Acupuncturist

    In this 30-45 minute Zoom gathering, you will learn the basics about Qigong practice and come away with several easy-to-learn Qigong techniques that combine meditative movement, meditative visualizations, and meditative breathing.

    K-5th Virtual Gathering-Art with Loriann

    Loriann will introduce us to artist, Yayoi Kusama. Kusama is known as the Princess of Polka Dots. For our time together Loriann asks that we each create our own large dot for our experiential whole-school artwork. Your dot can be made from any material, just make sure it is large enough, at least 12 inches. Have your dot with you at Gathering so that you can be a visible part of our experience together.

    Virtual Graduate Panel Discussion

    Curious what our alumni parents have to say about their child’s Lowell experience? Join Liz Yee, Director of Admissions, for a virtual discussion with alumni parents who reflect on their journey to Lowell, favorite academic highlights, personal stories about what their child gained from our program, and what life is like after graduation. Parents whose children graduated from Lowell and attended the following high schools and colleges will be on hand to share their experiences:
