MS Professional Day / NO CLASSES

    Writing day for MS teachers.

Is it a Big Problem or a Little Problem?

Child development is a process....so when a glitch occurs, how is a parent to know when "Is It a Big Problem or a Little Problem?" When are sound substitutions developmental or when do you need a closer look by a speech therapist? How do you help your child socialize? What do you do if your child is reluctant to participate in any messy play or dislikes fine motor tasks? Amy Freedman, M.A., is a speech therapist and Judi Greenberg, M.S. is an occupational therapist and two of the authors of Is It a Big Problem or a Little Problem. As consultants through Child Development Consultants, they regularly partner with teachers to help children in the classroom. They will talk about big and little problems and more importantly how we can team up to provide lots of strategies to support children.
