Requirements by Grade Level

Pre-Primary School

Children entering the Pre-Primary School are not required to have admissions testing.

Kindergarten-2nd Grade

Kindergarten applicants are required to submit results from admissions testing. Kindergarten applicants who are 5-years-old and younger take the WPPSI-IV (Wechsler Preschool Primary Scale of Intelligence Test, Fourth Edition). Children age 6-years-old and older take the WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition). If you have questions about which test your child should take, please contact Stephany Sims. The testing psychologist can also make a recommendation and work with you to identify the best test for your child's age.

3rd-5th Grade

Students applying to grades 3-5 are required to take the WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fourth Edition) as a part of the application process.

Middle School

For students applying to grades 6-8, either the SSAT or the ISEE is required. Testing dates and sites are available on their websites.
