Before the buzzer signaled the start of the first heat, the atmosphere was cheerful, even friendly. As soon as that sound bounced across the walls, it was all business. 

Our amazing community swim team, the Lionfish, held their annual parent/caregiver vs. student meet, and the stakes were high. Who would be crowned the best, be it backstroke, breaststroke, or butterfly? Who would freestyle their way to first place? And most importantly, who would have the bragging rights for the ride home?

The competition may have been fierce, but the high fives and hugs were plentiful in the end.
