Social Justice Day isn't just an important Lowell tradition; it's a critical part of our curriculum, from the youngest learners to the oldest. This year was extra special because we were able to partner with the DC Environmental Film Festival to bring our Environmental Justice theme to life. Classrooms spent the day mesmerized by documentaries, exploring how the health of our planet and our communities are intertwined, and reflecting on our shared responsibility to the world around us. The experience was rounded out by the annual peace march through our Shepherd Park neighborhood, sharing their relentless spirit of responsibility: do good for each other, do good for the world.
