Annual Giving

Annual Giving is Lowell's most important fundraising effort each year.

Generous gifts from the entire Lowell community of Board Members, current and alumni parents, friends, grandparents, faculty, staff, and alumni make the margin of difference between good and great. Gifts made to Annual Giving are used immediately to benefit current students by supporting the cornerstones of a Lowell education: outstanding teachers, state of the art technology, an integrated, rigorous curriculum, and an expansive campus which enriches all facets of the curriculum.

Like most independent schools, Lowell relies on the funds raised by Annual Giving to help pay for budgeted operating expenses. By design, tuition does not cover all of the expenses of a Lowell education; to raise tuition to do so would quickly price the school out of the market. As part of its budgetary process, the Board determines the monetary goal of each year's campaign.

It is part of the culture of giving at Lowell to value every gift whether large or small. High rates of participation say a lot about the commitment of the Lowell community to the work the school does with children. We celebrate the achievement of participation goals as well as dollar goals and are very proud that current parents have consistently participated in the 93-98% range.

We ask every family at Lowell to make the school a priority for their charitable giving while their children are here.
