Cello Teacher
Lowell School in Washington DC is seeking a Cello teacher to teach private lessons to children. This position begins in September and works closely with the Director of After School Music. It is also a plus if you have experience working with young children.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of teaching experience
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success.
- Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children
- Previous experience working with children.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired.
- Provide a one-to-one teaching experience in the area of music creation
- Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students
- Maintain complete and accurate records
- Develop and maintain genuine, positive and consistent communication with parents
Lowell School requires all employees to be fully vaccinated, unless you have a medical or religious exemption. Fully vaccinated includes boosters. Proof of COVID vaccinations will be needed during the onboarding process.
