Woodworking Parties

The woodshop program, which began in 2002, has grown by leaps and bounds.

In addition to Mini-Course offerings, Woodshop Coordinator Stephanie Drews-Sheldon has expanded the program to include birthday parties, workshops for adults and children, school projects, a pre-primary program, and the 6th grade chair project as well.

Mini-course projects have ranged from one-of-a-kind art sculptures for the younger groups, to bookshelves using Japanese joinery for the more seasoned woodworker. The projects are customized to individual students to let their imaginations soar.

Birthday parties have become popular with many different projects to offer for all age groups. Cake and ice cream tops off each event. The workshop is also available in the evening to children and adults. Evening workshops offer a variety of projects that help bring out the woodworker in all of us.
