Our eight-acre campus bordering Rock Creek Park, welcomes campers to participate in a variety of fun, creative, and exploratory activities. Our respectful and caring atmosphere encourages campers, ages three to 14, to grow in self-awareness and confidence, while strengthening their cooperation and consideration for others. The groupings are deliberately small. The low teacher/camper ratio allows for a relaxed and informal environment where thoughtful teachers, who understand child development, expand campers' horizons purposefully and safely.

Our expansive campus with fields, surrounded by towering trees, provides generous space for games, sports, exercise, and water play. Campers explore and investigate plant and animal life in our spring-fed stream, a tributary of nearby Rock Creek. Our four-lane indoor pool, our fully equipped technology center, three art workshops, our library, and our large gymnasium are also available to campers.
Lowell School embraces the progressive philosophy of education in which children construct ideas into learning. We strive for a range of backgrounds in our students, campers, and staff. The school actively seeks a community that reflects diversity of race, religion, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, national and ethnic orientation, and disability.
