Financial Aid

Financial Aid is available on a need basis. To help determine the amount of need fairly, Lowell uses School and Student Services for Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey (SSS). Based on parent-supplied information, SSS provides an analysis of a family's finances and determines a suggested contribution for educational expenses. SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. SSS notifies both Lowell and the family of the recommendation.

To complete a financial aid application for the 2013-2014 school year, you will need to:

  1. Submit Lowell's brief Financial Aid Form by January 25, 2013. The online form will be available starting November 1. A pdf version of the form will also be available on the Forms page of the website under Application Process.
  2. Complete and submit the SSS Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) by January 25, 2013.
  3. Submit supporting documents to SSS by February 14, 2013.

Financial Aid Decisions

In order for the Financial Aid committee to process all financial aid applications in a timely and equitable manner, we ask that you send us the information requested by the deadline of February 14, 2013. We cannot guarantee the availability of funds to families whose financial aid forms are submitted later than the deadline. Incomplete financial aid applications will be placed on a financial aid waiting list and will be processed as funds remaining in the financial aid budget permit.

Financial aid decisions will be sent along with offers of acceptance in writing through the mail on March 7, 2013.

All financial information is confidential. Please be assured that final admission decisions are in no way influenced by a request for aid.
