Schools After Lowell
Moving on from Lowell is both a major undertaking and critical decision for parents and their children. Parents are supported in this process in many ways. Parents will meet with the Head of School to talk about school choices and deadlines for each school. In the spring of the 5th grade year, a “Getting Started” meeting begins the process. The meeting addresses resources, detailed calendar, schools attended by Lowell Alums, Forms, SSAT Preparation, teacher support and helpful tips on how to deal with anxiety.
In addition to public schools, the independent schools at which our students have been accepted over the last several years include Barrie, Bullis, Edmund Burke, Capitol Hill Day, Field, Georgetown Day, Green Acres, Flint Hill School, Holton Arms, Maret, National Cathedral, Sandy Spring Friends, St. Albans, St. Anselm’s Abbey School, St. Andrews, St. Patrick’s, Sheridan, Sidwell Friends, Washington Episcopal, Washington International School.
