Children come to us in small bodies, but as full artists. They are active learners who innately seek out information that helps them make sense of the world. As they have opportunities to explore, they construct their own knowledge based on their experiences.

In the studio, children have opportunities to explore. They experience a diverse range of media in the fine arts, dramatic arts and music. They create, construct, dance, weave, tell stories and problem solve.

The environment is an essential teacher in our Creative Arts program. Therefore, our new studio is filled with important tools that support hands on work and delight the imagination. A large mural wall, easels, and a dedicated space for ongoing work with clay welcome children on a daily basis. In addition, an extensive range of materials are offered throughout the year to further nurture each child’s creative spirit. This is a place that supports the child's curiosity, wonder and desire to invent.

Every child is an artist. It's a challenge to remain an artist when you grow up.
