Spanish
Spanish language is an integral part of daily life for children from Kindergarten to Sixth grade.
Spanish learning extends beyond explicit instructional times, and Spanish is integrated into various daily and weekly activities such as Morning Meetings, Singing Meetings, and lunchtime discussions. As well, Spanish language learning is tied to the homeroom curriculum. Supporting the Spanish program, we use the Nuevo ¡Bravo, Bravo! series.
Nuevo ¡Bravo, Bravo! has been designed to effectively develop Spanish language skills through natural communication, effective grouping strategies, songs, games, reading and role-play. Lessons are presented in an interactive, fun way. The program provides multiple learning opportunities for language usage, phonics and language structure for the acquisition of second language skills.
