Our Campus

Lowell School, founded in 1965, is located on an eight-acre campus on upper 16th Street near Rock Creek Park in Washington, D. C. The school’s park-like setting and proximity to Washington, D. C.’s many resources make it an ideal location for elementary education. The generous indoor and outdoor spaces and ample facilities include a gym, pool, fields, technology lab, two libraries, woodshop, three art workshops, and a dance studio. The school is completely wired and students use the latest technology as a tool for learning. Our campus and facilities provide students from age three through 6th grade with the perfect environment to pursue an interactive, rigorous, and integrated curriculum.

Classrooms are in the Main building, along with several administrative offices. Parkside is the site of our After-School Program, our Science Laboratory, the Music Program, and the stage that is the primary performance space for our 4th to 6th grade drama program.

Marjorie Webster House contains our fully-equipped woodshop, conference space, and additional administrative offices.
