  • Physical Education Teacher and Coach

    Lowell is looking for a Physical Education Teacher and Coach for the 2013-14 academic year. The school has a physical education program designed for the unique developmental characteristics of each age group. Overall fitness, lifelong enjoyment of physical activity and development of sports skills are goals of the program. Lowell also has a robust afterschool athletic program for K-8th grade. The athletics program is usually coached by PE teachers, along with other Lowell teachers, and provides an opportunity to augment salary. The ideal candidate would have a B.S. or B.A, in Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field and be certified to teach swimming and/or lifeguard. Applicants should have experience working with pre-K and elementary children. Candidates with a teacher’s certification and three or more years experience are strongly preferred.   • Math Resource Teacher

    Lowell is currently seeking applicants for a full-time Math Resource Teacher for grades 1-6. The Math Resource Teacher supports the implementation of differentiated math instruction in classrooms, assists with ongoing assessments, serves as an instructional coach for teachers, and teaches one section of 6th grade math. Ideal candidates will have several years of math teaching experience across grade levels and hold a degree in either early childhood or elementary education, preferably with a specialization math.   • Part Time Middle School Dance Teacher

    Lowell is looking for a Part Time Middle School Dance Teacher. The ideal candidate has experience teaching middle school in various dance styles including hip hop, jazz, modern and creative movement. Experience with curriculum development, assessment strategies, a collaborative spirit, a ready sense of humor and experience with constructivist teaching/learning are preferred. Skill in differentiated instruction and technology integration a plus.   • Substitute Teachers
